Q: May built a wailing wall to help her come to terms with the pain she felt. Even though we don’t have May’s condition, do we also need rituals, like wailing walls, to help us deal with our grief and suffering?

A: No, I don’t at least. I just like having someone to talk to and be able to talk to about it. I don’t really think that would be considered a wailing wall. I think that people don’t need rituals, they just need friends and family to help them through the rough times.

Q: Who is the queen bee in the story?

A: I think the queen bee in the story is Lily. She is a very strong, independant, and outgoing girl. She is only 14 years old and she is already on her own. She seems to be in charge of everything she does, and when T. Ray was too controling, lily broke free of his power over her.

Q: Have you ever heard of “kneeling on grits”? What qualities did Lily have that allowed her to survive, endure, and eventually thrive, despite T. Ray?

A: I have never heard of “kneeling on grits” but it sounds like child abuse to me. I just dont understand how one person could be so heartless towards their own child. Lily is a very strong person. She has been through a lot and I think her will is a very strong quality that she posesses, and I think it will get her through many hard times in the future. She truly believes that her mother is always with her, she has faith, and that is another strength she has. T. Ray is a very angry person, he has a lot of aggression built up from his wife dieing, and sense he never talks about it he keeps all of it supressed, and if lily does on little thing which to most people isn’t really a big deal, T. Ray snappes, and takes all of his held in pain and anger out on lily. I also think his “torturing” her is a little bit of his anger towards lily, sense she killed her mom, he says he doesn’t blame her, but there’s a small part of him that blames lily fully for the death of his wife.

Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin Concert

Last weekend I went to the Three Days Grace concert and it was amazing!!! It was at the Target center, and the only down side of it was we had seat tickets… But they were in the lower level section. Oh and the shirt I bought for $30 didn’t have the tour dates on the back, so that was dissapointing. The concert started with some random band called Never Set, They were like a screamo band… I got bored. Then Seether came next, he was pretty amazing… then the intermission. After the break Breaking Banjamin came out and played like a billion songs, they were beast!!! After another break THREE DAYS GRACE finally!!!!!

About half way through There set, some lady fell on me and my friends, and of course at a rock concert, she was high and drunk, and a crazy mess. She even kissed my friend on the forehead… kinda akward if ya ask me… Anyways it was an awesome night, probably one of the best so far.
